Kim Sunghwan

Sunghwan Kim is a Staff Scientist at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).  He has more than 20 years of scientific research experience as a computational chemist, cheminformatician, and data scientist.  Since 2007, he has been working on the PubChem project, which develops and maintains a chemical database called PubChem (https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov). He is also involved in various outreach and educational activities that aim to help the public better understand PubChem’s data/tools/services.  He holds a M.Sc. in Inorganic Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry.  He has (co)-authored more than 60 scientific articles.
